The Organization

In this dream, there is no poverty, because everyone is nurtured and loved. This love also eliminates the focus on fear and separation as we bridge the divisions created by race, creed, and national borders to co-exist together in harmony. The environment synchronously benefits everyone, as people all over the world shift their focus to a more holistic approach that creates balance rather than congesting our home planet with chemicals and toxic fumes.

Increasing our connections with our wholeness, which we may experience as God, the creator, the source or simply the oneness, brings us closer to making this dream a reality. We have an inherent connection with divine order. As we progress spiritually, we unite more with our inner wisdom, which, in turn, strengthens our connection with all-that-is. This evolutionary quest is an upward spiral, taking us to higher levels of consciousness and wholeness.  

RISING TO A NEW WAY OF BEING

Anne Frank once said, “How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a single moment before starting to improve the world.” Awakenings invites us to start now, wherever we are, in whatever way we feel called to serve.

Humanity is at a crossroad. We are being asked to find ways to create a peaceful world amid great conflict and Awakenings has a part to play. The spiritual progress we with Awakenings and those we serve make can uplift everyone around us. Energetically, we can help humanity to rise to a new, higher way of being. Synchronously, people like ourselves worldwide are awakening to similar visions of helping humanity to transition to this higher reality.

On the Chopra Center website, Deepak Chopra wrote,

The search for a new narrative that unites us and takes us to the dawn of a new civilization is a fundamental driving force at these crossroads of humanity. At this moment, nothing is more important than to link all those who believe that we must set forth a new narrative and create a new world where hope, social justice, peace, and a sense of the sacredness of life prevails. For this we need to connect until we form a critical mass of humanity that influences the change at a global scale. By creating a broad ranging partnership between all those who care, we bring together the streams that work toward creating that critical mass.

The solution seems clear, but many of us feel that we are too small to have impact on a world that appears to be running amuck. As a group, we can create a new path that others can follow and exponentially increase our presence in our communities worldwide. By joining together, each of us has greater impact. We can create an appropriate form for the realization of our dreams. On a larger scale, establishing a presence is a way of claiming a space in society for a new religious form that will make us more visible to those who share our dream.

In our explorations of this dream, we have been heartened to find common soulful themes weaving their ways through the collective awareness of growing numbers of individuals who are being drawn to similar callings. These themes include:

• Wishing to uplift ourselves while helping others to awaken to their divine selves and true purposes.

• Realizing that each of us has access to higher truth within ourselves and wanting to help those who seek our support in accessing this divine wisdom.

• Recognizing that we are collectively on a path to wholeness that can be nurtured and accelerated through the integrated awakening of the body, emotions, mind, and spirit.

With these and other related themes in mind, many of us have been exploring ways to bring our visions into reality. Our journeys have taken a variety of forms, but we are united on a common path of awakening. We have explored magnificent higher realms of consciousness and holistic tools for progressing on our spiritual journeys. In our explorations, many of us have felt isolated in a world focusing on fear and greed, and backed away from organized religion, feeling that it does not provide space for our visions of an awakening world. Nonetheless, we are drawn forward by the realization that we have a role to play in the transformation of humanity.

CREATING A NEW PATH AND PRESENCE

Currently, we exist as Islands of consciousness scattered around the world. Many of us do not feel that forms of our society have a place for us, but it is time to reconsider. We have the opportunity to move beyond complaining and reacting. Together, we can create a positive direction. The United States, which was created on the foundation of religious freedom, allows us to freely express and practice our spiritual/religious beliefs and Awakenings was created to provide a spiritual community for the Islands of consciousness that are seeking a form for the realization of their true divine purposes.

With the creation of a new path and a place of belonging, together we can make positive changes in the world. Awakenings invites you to join us. Each of us can participate in the invention of this new religious structure, develop a tangible presence within our society, and bring the dream into being. We have much to offer individually and there is much that we can gain from each other. It is time for us to reclaim our religious freedoms, create a substantial place for ourselves in our world, and reach out to people who are waking up worldwide.

The path extends out before us. We can freely move forward and create an organization that reflects our common beliefs and missions. We are not in any way obligated to follow the model of mainstream religions, so we can creatively envision something completely new. By staying focused on the essential truths that unite us, we can avoid falling prey to the dogma that has drained the life energy from so many religious organizations. At the same time, we can draw on religious traditions in ways that serve the highest good.

HOW YOU CAN PARTICIPATE

Awakenings invites you to join us, wherever you are, in whatever way you feel called to participate. As a collaborative group, we can create a new path that others can follow and exponentially increase our presence in our communities. By joining together, each of us has greater impact. We can create an appropriate form for the realization of our dreams. On a larger scale, establishing a presence is a way of claiming a space in society for a new religious form that will make us more visible to those who share our dream.
