Awakenings' Foundering Directors

Phillip and Jane Mountrose, Awakenings founders, co-direct the Institute, a non-profit organization centered in the San Luis Obispo area on the Central California coast. They focus on helping people to awaken to their true purpose and enlist their full potential. They also operate Holistic Communications, a publishing company that extends their work to people around the world.

DR. PHILLIP MOUNTROSE is the President and Educational Director of Awakenings. He is an author, holistic teacher, Holistic Hypnotherapist, NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming) Practitioner, Spiritual Life Coach and Counselor, Reiki Master, and Intuitive Counselor serving others as a Minister of Holistic Healing. He is also a veteran educator and innovative instructional video creator who has taught children of all ages for over twenty years. Phillip's wide range of experience has made him a popular radio and TV guest. 

In addition to his diverse training and Doctorate Degree in Holistic Healing, Phillip has a Masters in Education from University of Massachusetts, a Special Education Certification from Sacramento State College, and a Masters in Fine Arts from UCLA. With over three decades of experience in the areas of spiritual development and holistic healing, Dr. Mountrose brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to Awakenings Institute.

JANE MOUNTROSE is the Chief Financial Officer and Administrative Director of Awakenings. She is an author, holistic teacher, Holistic Hypnotherapist, Spiritual Life coach and Counselor, Reiki Master, and Intuitive Counselor, serving others as a Minister of Holistic Healing.  In addition to her Masters Degree in Church Administration, Jane has a Bachelor's Degree from Rhode Island School of Design in Art and more than 25 years of experience as an artist and an architect.

Together, Phillip and Jane Mountrose are devoted to helping Awakenings grow into a worldwide presence that can transform thousands of lives. As provosts for the Awakenings' university degree programs, Phillip and Jane guide candidates for Doctorate, Master's and Bachelor's degrees through their programs, along with mentoring those who seek degrees in fields that relate to the Mountroses' work.

The Mountroses also conduct classes and seminars in Sacramento and Arroyo Grande, California, and travel throughout the United States sharing their teachings. Phillip is a popular guest on radio and TV shows nationwide.
